HR Payroll Specialist

Beverly Hills, CA (fully onsite)

We are partnering with a dynamic, multi-entity organization seeking an experienced HR Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end payroll operations across a complex and fast-paced environment. This is a highly visible, hands-on role reporting directly to the HR Director, with the opportunity to bring structure, accuracy, and process improvement to payroll operations.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in detail-driven work, understands multi-state compliance, and enjoys operating as a key resource across both payroll and HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

  • Manage full-cycle payroll processing across multiple entities using ADP Run
  • Review and audit timecards, commissions, bonuses, and off-cycle payrolls
  • Ensure accurate calculations for overtime, double time, and other earnings types
  • Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage-and-hour laws
  • Partner with HR on onboarding, terminations, and final pay requirements
  • Support payroll tax filings, audits, and year-end processes (W-2s)
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key point of contact for payroll across multiple entities
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy
  • Support benefits deductions, 401(k), and payroll-related reporting

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Optimize payroll workflows within ADP Run
  • Build and maintain payroll calendars, controls, and checklists
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce errors

Additional HR Support

  • Assist with ad hoc HR initiatives and projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-entity environments
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Run
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance and wage laws
  • Experience processing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting
